ECOWAS warns against diversion of legal arms

ECOWAS has warned its member states against the diversion of legally acquired weapons and ammunition for illicit purposes, following the destruction of 17,000 decommissioned weapons and 20,000 rounds of ammunition. The Acting Head of the Small Arms Division emphasized the need for vigilance to curb illegal arms circulation in West Africa.
