ContourGlobal inaugurates Chilean hybrid plant with 231 MW of solar and 200 MW/1.3 GWh BESS

ContourGlobal inaugurated the Víctor Jara hybrid power plant in Chile's Tarapacá Region, combining 231 MW of solar energy with a 200 MW/1.3 GWh battery energy storage system (BESS) capable of providing 6.5 continuous hours of energy, representing the longest-duration operational utility-scale BESS in Latin America.
