Kenya enforces mandatory Advance Cargo Declaration for container imports

Kenya has enforced a mandatory Advance Cargo Declaration (ACD) requirement for containerized imports starting from September 1, 2026, following an introduction by the Kenya Revenue Authority in August. Non-compliance may result in shipment delays or reallocation to another vessel, with carriers warning importers accordingly.
