China Walks Away From Georgia's Strategic Deep-Water Port Project
China has withdrawn from the Anaklia Deep Sea Port project in Georgia, leaving the Georgian government to develop and operate the port independently. The project, valued at $2.5 billion, has faced significant geopolitical challenges since its launch in 2016.
