Will respond to terror threats from Afghanistan in self-defence as and when needed, Pakistan tells UNSC

Pakistan informed the UN Security Council that it will respond in self-defence to terrorist threats originating from Afghanistan, citing ongoing security concerns five years after the Taliban takeover. Pakistan highlighted the presence of multiple terrorist groups in Afghanistan and called for regional cooperation and support for Afghanistan’s stabilization.
